A few months later, what conclusions do you draw from this experience?
CS : We must not lose sight of the fact that it is human error.
Clearly, it is necessary to secure internally the import of data in
our system.
Summarizing, what is ISAGRI's core business?
Christophe Sigogneau : ISAGRI is a group specializing in IT and
the agricultural press. Mainly, our customers are cereal growers,
breeders or wine growers. Our mission is inform them and offer
them operational software solutions as well as management
support services.
At the very beginning, what led you to FiveForty°?
CS : We had a real need for reinforcement for the D365
deployment of the Media division. Indeed, it was not going
forward at the same pace as the Software publishing division.
This summer, however, an incident severely disrupted
activity. Can you give some context?
CS : We had commissioned FiveForty°, with a profile as
administrator, for the deployment of three new legal entities
modeled after companies already in place. For this deployment,
we therefore granted them access to the production
environment to deploy the configuration of these entities.
What happened then?
CS : When updating this setting, an error on the file to import
was impacting all the number sequences of the entirety of the
companies already in production. It was then impossible to
create any new entries.
"Immediate support"
How did FiveForty° react?
CS : Instantly, Jonathan Lascaux, FiveForty° CEO and partner,
immediately informed me of the incident, the extent of the
damage and the immediate steps taken for resolution of this
incident. Monitoring-wise, deployment of support with an email
address dedicated to the end users was ensured. My concern
was centered in correcting this issue and avoid being forced
to rebuild a production environment.
Did the intervention solve all the problems?
CS : The incident happened on June 9, 2020. Within 48 hours,
90% of errors were corrected. At the beginning of July, the delta
was reabsorbed because it mainly concerned end-of-month
processing.
What are the areas for improvement to consider?
CS : The improvement is mainly on the Isagri IT side with the
wish to centralize imports in production. The right to an error
exists but there is no point in putting up barriers at each step.
It is important to be vigilant about at-risk behaviors such as the
sequencing of tasks or the need to rework an exported file in
order to import it.
If you had to recommend FiveForty°, what would you say?
CS : Go ahead, go for it!
"The strength of empathy"
However, what would you suggest to be vigilant about?
CS : The FiveForty° business is extremely linked to the people
they have recruited and in the spirit of its teams. It is therefore
important that FiveForty° continues to recruit while retaining
its key values of listening, sharing and innovation.
According to you, how does FiveForty° differ from other integrators?
CS : I don't know a lot, but the great strength of FiveForty°
resides in the empathy towards its clients. I also appreciate their
real business skills and this is essential. All of the above
combined with their ability to listen and this understanding
of the needs, which are not purely technical but also completed
with best practices and productivity.
Three words to sum them up...
CS : Business, technical and professionalism skills.
On a scale of 1 to 5, how do you rate your relationship with FiveForty°?
CS : Even with the incident, the score does not change, a 5!
Through a software and media offer, ISAGRI is the decision-making partner of the farmers. Christophe Sigogneau, administrative director of the group, tells us how the Summer would almost have gotten very hot if the mistake by FiveForty° had not been not caught up very quickly by the integrator himself.
