Hervé Bianchi
Across-the-board and across the sea
In Bordeaux, it's not only great wines, these great vintages
that the whole world envies us.
The capital city of Aquitaine has also given birth to a delicious
delicacy, the famous canelé [a small soft pastry with rum and vanilla,
not to be confused with Italian cannoli]. But that, nobody ignores it.
What is less known is that, just like Richard Cœur de Lion or François Mauriac,
Hervé was also born there. A pure Bordelais and in all fairness,
he can’t stop praising his hometown.
She is, for him, the most beautiful city in the world.
We easily understand why he wanted to stay there as long as possible.

From West to East
After completing expert accountancy studies in Bordeaux, Hervé ‘converted’ his first
professional ‘tries’, as in rugby, in 1994. To a first job as an accountant, held for seven
years, succeeds a position of chief accountant during three more years. Logically,
this pro is studying a new plan in 2004. The latter points due east, in the direction
of Lyon. The city opens up to him the doors of Petro-Lyon, a subsidiary of Dyneff to
close them eighteen months later following a selloff after liquidation. Without
waiting, Hervé opts for Bexley, a Lyon-based brand of men's shoes. He is in charge
of the head office accounting department and those of about ten stores in France.
After a year, an opportunity presents itself at Club Med.
Head North!
And there he is, a G.O. [Gentil Organisateur] and the financial manager of the village
of Tignes, then those of Serre Chevalier and finally Opio. There, a trident strike to the
middle of the heart. An HR named Virginie will become his life companion. Change
of scenery, Hervé still pines about the banks of the Garonne river. But in the region,
jobs are not that plentiful. In Paris, a Swedish company, Camfil, recruits Hervé as the
accounting and finance manager. He later joins the project of an AX 2009
implementation. "A great project with three people dedicated to the customer,
logistics and factory production sides", remembers Hervé. A success, but after which
Camfil is slow to reassign him to his old position. Hervé updates his CV and
mentioning ‘AX’ was very quickly effective. In August 2013, Flexmind hires him as
a senior finance consultant. There he meets a few of the future pillars of FiveForty°
and will join them in September 2019.
Cardinal values
"At FiveForty°, it's more human, closer knit. More about interpersonal skills too...
This makes the difference for me and I find there what I like" emphasizes Hervé.
"And then, in a smaller-sized structure we pay attention to each other and also
naturally to the customer.” These days, he is in charge of the Babilou corporate-site
nurseries. It just goes to show that life does things well for someone who is a young
first-time daddy. "And Martin is going to have a little brother!", Hervé announces in
passing.
What does he like about his job? "To train people, show them how to get the best of
the tool, succeed in convincing them of the right way to do things, even if, at first,
opinions diverge", he replies. When he was younger, Hervé fiddled with computers,
it was his passion. He was, however, far from imagining the migration from his initial
training to the profession he exercises today. The finance consultant asks: "Who
would have then foreseen the growth and contribution of integrated management
software?."
South all the way
IT is not all there is in life. In his own, his little two-and-a-half-year-old Martin
occupies a very large place. But, as a skilled diver, Hervé is not the type to let himself
be submerged. When he was single, this passion was an opportunity for travels and
discovery. "We were heading for a diving spot in the Red Sea, off the coast of
Hurghada, Egypt, when a pod of about fifty dolphins approached the boat. We all
put on masks, fins and snorkels to swim with them. A superb moment. And then,
suddenly, they left. It’s like they had something else to do. The boss must have said,
ok, that’s enough!" recalls Hervé, whose funny bone often surfaces. Today he is like a
dolphin in the water in a work environment where he appreciates colleagues who
are like family. "Everything is going very well, except that I would appreciate it if our
seminars were no longer held during school holidays!", he confides with a smile.°
