The sense for contact
These days, working at FiveForty° as part of her alternating higher education, Krystal is going for a bachelors degree of technologies in marketing at the Paris Nanterre university. Filled with the energy of her soon to be 21 candles, she unveils some fragments of her life journey and her ambitions.
“I grew up in Alsace, in a very small four hundred inhabitants village. With my grandma, we went biking to the farm to get milk in crooked-up metal containers” she smiles. A childhood also rhythmed by a thousand and one Summer jobs during school holidays. A restaurant server on weekends, a stocker or advisor in distribution houses… she got close to many professional endeavors.

The sense for contact
These days, working at FiveForty° as part of her
alternating higher education, Krystal is going for a
bachelors degree of technologies in marketing at the
Paris Nanterre university. Filled with the energy of her
soon to be 21 candles, she unveils some fragments of her
journey and her ambitions.
“I grew up in Alsace, in a very small four hundred inhabitants
village. With my grandma, we went biking to the farm to get
milk in crooked-up metal containers” she smiles. A childhood
also rhythmed by a thousand and one Summer jobs during
school holidays. A restaurant server on weekends, a stocker
or advisor in distribution houses… she got close to many
professional endeavors.
Deep frozen deliveries
This is what the Strasbourg native retains: “I always liked human contact, to talk
with people. At Maximo, the specialist of deep frozen product delivery, I ensured the
order-taking tours on rather intense schedules.” But her warm disposition in this
“polar” universe is an ace in her sleeve. It comforts her in the commercial orientation
of her current training: “As long as I remember, I have always appreciated dialogue
and being near others.” Which goes to show that passion doesn’t wait for one to be
‘old enough’.
Data mining
From the start, her feel for contact did not go unnoticed at FiveForty°: “At the very
beginning, my first assignment consisted in improving the management of the
CRM. The last data update had been three years prior. Sorting, classifying and
therefore refreshing of the database for the CRM were indispensable. In addition,
I had to research new leads about companies working with D365 or AX. Once the
update was completed, and close to 200 enterprises contacted, I must have sent
something like 1,000 e-mails!.”
Today, Krystal has extended the field of her involvement. “As FiveForty° is now active
in the US, I also took on the creation of the United States leads database. I have a
new CRM tool at my disposal, with many more features and filters, allowing
considerable time savings compared with the first app I was using, from which I
ensured the data migration.” Presently, Krystal is still training, “as this is what I like
a lot here, I learn every day. The interaction, the help between coworkers is a daily
thing with the Teams group. One is never alone.”
CRM and KTM
When she is not targeting prospects, Krystal gives in to her big passions.
Among these: pastry making of which she appreciates in particular its difficulty and
precision. “I need to know if it’s going to be a hit or a flop. Among hard to make
recipes, I master rather well that of the macarons (which I hate, btw). For me,
overcoming the difficulty of the ‘macaronnage’, this precise mixing time of an
Italian-style meringue with almonds and egg whites is very stimulating!.” As for
drawing, her taste takes her towards themes that could be those of tattoos.
“The tattoo artist is for me like a painter who doesn’t use a canvas but rather the
body.” Ever since she was a small girl, she adores bikes. At sixteen, she got her 125cc
license. Now the holder of an unrestricted bike license, she regrets that Paris may
not be the ideal place. “Therefore, when I got here I chose to resell my KTM Duke.”
A machine that, just like Krystal, does not lack in character.
Today, with her dual student and wage earner status, Krystal projects herself
medium term. “The goal would be to remain at FiveForty° at the end of my dual
education as I love the listening that reigns in this human-sized company. And also,
for each one, to be able to tell oneself that their work is visible and participates to
the development of the enterprise is very uplifting!” °
