The art of movement
A full-blooded Parisian, Leslie exudes energy. A tad impatient, she likes it when things move. On the job side, a planned career plan, that’s not her thing. On the personal side, one can say she’s seen quite a few countries! The list of those she has visited since she was small or those where she has simply stopped over is impressive. To hear her tell it, it looks like that besides the Arctic and Antarctica, no continent has escaped her fiery curiosity. Asia – with a special mention for Japan –, Africa, North America, Mexico, the Caribbean – Dominican Republic –, Europe, New-Zeeland, Australia… Is the whole world enough for her?
In Paris, after somewhat lively teenage years, Leslie turn herself towards a DUT GEA, (university degree of technology in companies and administrations management). She finds right away a position in a bank. But she doesn’t like it. She decides to take a break and heads to Australia. She will spend two years there.

The art of movement
A full-blooded Parisian, Leslie exudes energy. A tad impatient,
she likes it when things move. On the job side, a planned career plan,
that’s not her thing. On the personal side, one can say she’s seen quite a few countries!
The list of those she has visited since she was small or those where she has simply stopped
over is impressive. To hear her tell it, it looks like that besides the Arctic and Antarctica,
no continent has escaped her fiery curiosity. Asia – with a special mention for Japan –,
Africa, North America, Mexico, the Caribbean – Dominican Republic –, Europe, New-Zeeland,
Australia… Is the whole world enough for her?
In Paris, after somewhat lively teenage years, Leslie turn herself towards a DUT GEA,
(university degree of technology in companies and administrations management).
She finds right away a position in a bank. But she doesn’t like it.
She decides to take a break and heads to Australia. She will spend two years there.
Spider Girl
Moments come back to her, instants that only happen over there. Leslie, who took
care of children in Sydney, explains: “The fauna is unusual. Beyond koalas and
kangaroos, one also encounters killer jellyfish and saltwater crocs. Naturally,
children are taught some special habits. Such as to make sure that a Redback
spider has not crawled in the shoes or under a pillow… They’re small, black with a
red stripe and plain deadly…” In her bathroom, one day she was nose to nose with a
kind of giant spider, fortunately harmless. Back from Australia, she is hired by a firm
specialized in transport and logistics. Leslie takes a liking to computing and acquires
experience on several transport flow management software. Later, she becomes
part of a Belgian company, a publisher of general services software. Be she is really
not that passionate about this either. Leslie then becomes a consultant on ERP
Dynamics and specializes in supply chain for two years.
Laid-back flows
After interviewing with Alexandre and Joseph, she joins FiveForty° in October 2021.
Her position: functional consultant on the supply chain part for Christofle. “As of
now, the ERP is operational for retail in all the boutiques, there remains the finance
part to be fine-tuned”, she details. Additionally, Leslie is in contact with Jonathan in
the United States, tasked with the local issues of the silversmith of tableware.
At FiveForty°, Leslie notes the mindset of the leadership influences in a positive way
the general atmosphere: “And this has nothing to do with the size of the company.
The one where I worked before was led by thirty-somethings, we were also about
twenty people, but it was a lot more complicated on a daily basis, both in how work
was organized and in internal relations.”
A modern pentathlon
Today, she appreciates that consultants are listened to. She adds: “And then the
onboarding went well with the presentation to the FiveForty° teams. Elsewhere,
I found myself directly at the customer’s without knowing anyone.” When she
started, other touches pleased her: “We have interesting advantages such as a
company debit card for expenses, equipment for remote working.” Every week,
FiveForty° sets up coworking moments, afterwork get-togethers… “All of this creates
a bond between consultants. There are seminars. A real team spirit gets woven.”
Leslie remembers that where she used to work, she was closer to her customers
than to her colleagues…
During the confinement, Leslie found herself new occupations. In particular,
cooking, by following videos on YouTube. She likes very much to prepare Asian
dishes. Moreover, when asked what would she like to see at FiveForty°, she answers:
“Cooking lessons to learn, and also to share afterwards. And why not workout
sessions as well?”, contemplates this jack-of-all-trades sports fan who can’t stay still,
already practicing fitness, tennis, swimming, climbing and paddle… And that’s just
for the time being.°
