Crazy about soccer
Maciré likes things to go roundly, like a ball.
A soccer fan and PSG supporter, he started playing at the age of eight. Over the years and teams his passion has never let go, unlike his cruciate ligaments and his right kneecap. Professionally, he quickly gave himself another goal: accounting expertise. But with undergraduate degree in his pocket, Maciré enters working life faster than expected and in 2003 joins Célio then Claire’s.

Crazy about soccer
Maciré likes things to go roundly, like a ball.
A soccer fan and PSG supporter, he started playing at the age
of eight. Over the years and teams his passion has never let
go, unlike his cruciate ligaments and his right kneecap.
Professionally, he quickly gave himself another goal:
accounting expertise. But with undergraduate degree in his
pocket, Maciré enters working life faster than expected and
in 2003 joins Célio then Claire’s.
Half a game and out!
When it was bought out by an investment fund, the company decided to move the
finance Unit across the Channel. Maciré, who has more than one trick of his own,
declines the offer. He enters the audiovisual industry for three years and notably
integrates the accounting – and soccer teams - of France Television. Then an
opportunity arises in an EDF subsidiary, Citelium. A software change project makes
a decisive pass to his professional destiny. Maciré catches the ball quickly and
becomes a key user for the finance division. Dribbling over the difficulties, he
identifies needs, writes income books, user manuals, explains the package’s
operation to the on-site consultants and begins to take an interest in their business.
Why not me?
In soccer, his qualities as a defensive midfielder were anticipating and sensing
which direction the game was taking. Maciré does not take long to find them again.
Driven by the desire to broaden his knowledge and sensitive to the evolutions
allowed by the software, becoming a consultant titillates him. He contacts a
recruiter specialized in Microsoft technologies. The meeting with FiveForty is
starting to take shape and the job interview is set. It will take place in... a bar. "I was
quite surprised at the time. I did not expect this unusual setting. But suddenly I felt
more at ease", Maciré remembers, all smiles. There’s a good vibe going. Especially
since Catherine, the co-founder of FiveForty has worked with him before.
Very quickly he meets the pioneers, Jonathan, Alexandre, Jerôme...
The integration of the integrator
The Thursday afterwork get-togethers let him discover a welcoming atmosphere for
his integration. "These days, it's nice to work in small open spaces with three or four
people. And then we see each other often", specifies Maciré. The first salaried
employee of the new Microsoft Solutions consulting firm looks back today the road
traveled by his company. “We see new faces, things getting in place, how the company
is evolving.” And when you ask him what he likes about his job, he replies freedom,
autonomy and responsibility. “I organize myself, I manage my agenda and the
option of working remotely suits me perfectly. I even feel like I'm becoming even
more professional", he adds.
Always very sportsmanlike
Would there be areas for improvement at FiveForty? "Maybe rebalancing the quota
between functional and developer people and ultimately have one a dedicated
team per client. Recruitments are underway, we'll see,” adds our Dynamics 365
finance consultant confidently. And on the dynamic side, we can trust him… He
runs to the gym "three times a week from 9 to 11 p.m.", he says. Whatever happens,
Maciré continues to smile at life and to guide it in function of his game plan.°
